Richard A. Knaak

Richard A. Knaak (born 28 May 1961 in Chicago) is the author of ''Dragonlance'' novels, ''Dragonrealm'', six novels for Blizzard Entertainment's ''Diablo'' series, and ten works in the Warcraft universe. He has also written five non-series fantasy books.
==Early life and education==
Richard Allen Knaak was born May 28, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois, to James Richard Knaak and Anna Maria (Trappen) Knaak.〔 He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, studying chemistry at first,〔http://www.richardaknaak.com/Bio.html〕 and subsequently rhetoric, and earned a bachelor's degree in 1984.〔 He worked as a warehouseman, resume writer, and office clerk before becoming a full-time freelance writer in 1988.〔
